Privacy Policy
A resume is one of the more personal documents a person owns. It has your name, your phone number, where you live, and everywhere you have worked. This page tells you exactly what happens to it.
This policy covers resumeready.work, operated by TPOMFG LLC d/b/a ResumeReady, a Florida limited liability company.
The short version
- Your resume is sent to an AI provider so it can be read and rewritten. That is the product.
- The photo you upload is passed through for reading. We do not store it.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.
- Your resume is not used to train AI models.
- You can download everything we hold, or delete your account outright, from your account page.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. We use it to identify your account, keep you signed in, and contact you about the service.
Your resume
Whatever you scan or type: your name, contact details, location, work history, education, skills, certifications, and anything else you put on it. If you press Save, it is stored in our database against your account. If you never press Save, it stays in your own browser and never reaches our database.
The photo you upload
When you scan a paper resume, your browser shrinks the image and sends it to us. We pass it straight to the AI provider to be read, return the text to you, and keep no copy of the image. It is not written to our database and not saved to disk.
Usage counts
We count how many scans and AI runs your account has used, day by day, so the usage limits can be enforced. That is a set of numbers attached to your account identifier, nothing more.
Download records
When you download a finished resume we record that it happened, in which format, when, and the IP address it was downloaded from. We keep these because they are the record behind our Refund Policy - the refund window closes when you download - and because if a payment is ever disputed with a card company, this is the evidence they ask for. There is no copy of the file, only the fact of it.
If you buy the unlock
Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us - we never see or store a card number. We keep a record that you bought it, what you paid, and the Stripe identifiers needed to match a refund or a dispute back to your account.
Demo visits
The demo works without an account, so to stop one person from consuming it endlessly we store a one-way salted hash of your IP address alongside the same counters. We cannot turn that hash back into your IP address, and we do not store the address itself.
Ordinary web data
Our host records standard request logs, including IP addresses, as part of serving and protecting the site.
What we do not collect
No advertising trackers, no analytics pixels, no third-party marketing scripts, no fingerprinting. We do not ask for your date of birth, government identifiers, or payment card details - if paid features are offered, card details go directly to the payment provider and never reach us.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work, so there is nothing here to consent to or opt out of:
- Sign-in cookies set by our authentication provider, which keep you signed in between pages.
- A demo cookie holding the identifier for your demo session, so the demo knows where it left off.
Separately, your browser stores your in-progress resume, your chosen template, and your spacing preference in local storage on your own device. That never leaves your browser unless you press Save. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we have never done so. We share it only with the service providers that make the product run:
| Provider | What they do | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Reads your resume to extract, polish, and tailor it | The photo you upload and the text of your resume |
| Supabase | Runs your account and stores any resume you choose to save | Email address, account identifier, saved resume content |
| Signs you in, if you choose to sign in with Google | Email address and name from your Google account | |
| Stripe | Takes payment if you buy the unlock | Your email and payment details - we never see your card number |
| Netlify | Hosts and serves the site | Ordinary web request data, including your IP address |
Under the terms on which we use it, our AI provider does not train its models on the resumes we send. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users - and if a business transfer ever happened, this policy would follow your data to the new owner.
How long we keep it
- Saved resumes - until you delete them, or until you delete your account. We do not expire them, because the person this product is for may come back a year later for the next job.
- Your account - until you delete it.
- Daily usage counts - no more than 90 days.
- Download records - two years. Longer than the refund window on purpose, because a card dispute can arrive months after a purchase and this is the record that answers it.
- Demo records (the hashed IP and its counters) - no more than 30 days.
- Uploaded photos - not retained at all.
Your rights over your data
Wherever you live, we will honor these. You do not need to cite a law to ask, and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
- See it - download a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Correct it - anything on your resume you can fix yourself in the editor; for anything else, ask.
- Delete it - delete individual resumes in the app at any time, or delete your account and everything attached to it from your account page. Account deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Take it with you - download everything we hold as a machine-readable file from your account page.
- Object or restrict - tell us to stop a particular use.
The delete and download controls are on your account page and work immediately. For anything else - correcting something, objecting to a use, or if you would simply rather ask a person - email info@tpomfg.com from the address on your account and we will action it within 30 days. If we ever have to refuse a request, we will tell you why.
If you are in California, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you are in the UK or EEA, our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you for running the service, and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse for the usage counters. Your data is processed in the United States.
How we protect it
Everything travels over HTTPS and is encrypted at rest by our database provider. Access to saved resumes is enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read another's rows even if the application had a bug. The keys that can bypass those rules exist only on the server and are never sent to your browser.
No service can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as promptly as the law requires.
Children
ResumeReady is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, email us and we will delete it. See section 4 of the Terms of Service.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the version and date stamped at the bottom of the page, and for a material change we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
